Behavioural issues

Support for Big Emotions
(Your dog's and yours)
Dog pulling on leash
Overview

Such as for humans, all it takes is one event or one little mistake for a dog to shift. This can translate into reactivity, destruction, pulling on the lead, anxiety, excessive barking etc.

That's when love and tenderness can turn to stress, impatience, anger. That new unwanted behaviour is affecting you and the ones around you. You maybe even feel guilty for having second thought on your dog's future at home?

Let me tell you that you are not alone. And there is a silver lining:  behaviour is communication. I am here to translate your dog's message and help you adjust the communication again, so that you and your dog are on the same page.  The side effects to this are ultimately to restore balance and bring back peace of mind.

Whether you have a goal in mind such as being able to take your dog to social events, to stop the jumping, destruction, pulling on the lead, react to cats & dogs or simply you'd like to have a peaceful home again, I am there to assist you.

All it takes is one click to contact Nick.

Who This Support Is For
Any dog parent, really. At some point in time, any event (even seen as minor from a human perspective) may have an impact on your dog, which will translate in a different behaviour.

This could be miscommunication, a new environment, a new baby, losing a loved one, an accident, an interaction with a human or animal, a storm, a noise, a new smell... The list goes on.

Dogs are very sensitive creatures and communicate differently than us as a different species. Again, a behaviour is a message we need to decipher, understand and accept. Which is the core of a behaviourist's work.

There is no need to wait for the situation to spin out of control. As soon as a new or unidentified behaviour arises and creates discomfort in the household, reach out!
In these sessions, we will investigate the possible root causes of the behaviour via an initial assessment, during which we will also define what your priorities are.

I will then assist you and train you as a dog parent to become independent on understanding and communicating with your dog. You will receive a lot of pro tips so you and your dog can live the best possible life together, without any permanent stress, anxiety or general discomfort.

This needs to be a smooth process for you and your dog. The purpose is to preserve or improve your relationship as well as respecting of your dog's emotions.

Every session is made to measure based on your expectations and your dog's pace of learning and tolerance.
You will always be present and active during these sessions so you can understand what is done and why.
